During December 2020 and January 2021 we carried out a round of evaluations for the Co-Inform plugin which was developed to aid citizens’ information evaluation practices during their day-to-day encounters with information on Twitter.

To strengthen the work in supporting journalists in their everyday work, Co-Inform and SOMA are joining forces. We have integrated our tools, and we will also run a co-collaborative workshop where we test our tools with journalists.
Co-Inform joined forces with the European project Eunomia to run together the workshop “Challenging Misinformation: Exploring Limits and Approaches”, held at Social Informatics Conference 2020 (SocInfo2020) on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020.
We can summarise Co-inform’s core technical solution as a “decentralised, transparent and community-driven misinformation linking system”.
On July 16th the Cyprus University of Technology held a webinar on misinformation and why it spreads online.
As part of the annual summit of the International Fact-Checking Network, FactCheckNI hosted “Telling Stories with Data” at Global Fact 7, an online session that explored the use of data in news and information presented to the public.

Co-Inform has participated in a DG CONNECT & REA roundtable discussion about Digital Governments and COVID-19 and how the pandemic has changed the field of digital government.
The third round of workshops across Greece, Austria and Sweden has started in June 2020. Citizens and policymakers are evaluating two Co-Inform tools: a plugin and a dashboard. The workshops have been held online, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
